    Hello Cool Cats

I had the pleasure today to be apart of Sunshine Coast TAFE, Sector Reference Group held at Cartrights Restaurant, Mooloolaba TAFE.

It was a chance for Sunshine Coast Children Services Team to sit and talk with Directors and Operation Managers about how TAFE can further support students and their centres.  The Children Services Team where so excited to share our latest projects and gain further feedback from Industry. Oh and I can not forget, while having a very yummy breakfast.

Have a little look at the Cultural Displays.

    Hi I’m Suzy.

I am an Early Childhood Trained Teacher and have been working in the Children’s Services field for over 20 years. I have been an Assistant, Group Leader, Teacher and Director in lots of different types of services and am now passing on my love and knowledge of the field of children’s services to anyone who will listen !!! :) My reason for teaching students at TAFE is that I want to be a part of ensuring that all children have access to great educators, great programs and great environments when they attend a children’s service and that they feel loved, nurtured and special.

    Meet Miss Jane….

I have been working in the early childhood field for 20 years as an educator in the Qld Dept of Education, QUT Kelvin Grove, Long Daycare, Family Daycare, TAFE and as a Nanny for a short time. I am currently teaching the Certificate 111 to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander students, and I am working toward a future where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander educators will be sharing the richness of their culture with the children and families we are caring for. In my spare time I play guitar and sing in a band. I am learning to ride a surfboard. I love travelling to learn about other cultures. I love the Australian bush, gumtrees, and swimming holes with me in them. I watch birds on rivers while I kayak on them. I love camping and campfires. I also love art galleries and laughing and finding fun in boring places. I am probably old enough to know better!
