I have added posts about how we as educators reflect on our programs. This is an important aspect of our programs and enables us to evolve and improve. But what about reflecting on our lives, do you have questions you ask yourself each day that allow you to stop and look back on all the wondrous experiences you have had. Do you give yourself time to be proud of what you have accomplished each day? I know a lot of you will be thinking, “Yeah right Mrs B, who has time for that!!!”
I think you can squeeze it in I promise it will boost your happiness, sense of accomplish, your personal life and everyones around you.

I have had many discussions with educators about concerns the sector will go backwards esp. with the changes to the NQS and qualifications.
The question is, has all our hard work been for nothing?
My answer …. Absolutely not, look at all that has been achieved, I know I will advocate for our profession and I know all educators will too.

An educator asked me recently for any information on Reflection’s. I thought I would share with you one example we use at TAFE. I find it simple to use yet very effective. I had the pleasure today to visit a good friends centre. I must say I am always impressed with the centres foyer and today was no different. Have a look at what has been created using all natural and recycled materials. What a beautiful way to teach children the many ways natural materials can be used and respected.

I recently had a old high school friend contact me asking me for ideas settling her 2 yrs. old into a long day care centre. I was glad to help.
It can be so upsetting for children and parents transitioning into care and at times stressful for educators. I have a few ideas that can allow this to be a positive experience with children settling faster and becoming confident in saying goodbye. Here are some of Mrs B’s Tips…….
